The Farm

Our farm was founded in 1964 and stretches over 100 hectares of land located in the lower Ferrara area of which 80% is sown with rice in rotation with other cereals.

What makes the Valli di Comacchio unique?

The farm is nestled between the Po Delta regional park and the Valli di Comacchio, a protected area of wetlands. The biodiversity of the territory combined with the sea breezes and acidic soil give the rice unique properties and for this reason is recognized as one of the best areas in Italy for rice cultivation.

Ente Riso Italiano

The Ente Nazionale Risi (the Italian National Rice Authority), a public economic body subject to the supervision of the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, is extremely active in protecting the entire rice sector by implementing outreach measures to increase knowledge about “made in Italy” rice through information campaigns.

The Ente Nazionale Risi has registered a trademark in order to guarantee the origin, nature and quality of the rice marketed by Italian producers.
